Maybe it we try stopping to be too modern as if we had to with all that 'we are in the 21st century thing' and keep it simple, people would know were they stand with each other better and life would be easier.

Proper education, especially religion, philosophy, and wisdom. And others that teach about goodness.
But I am starting to think that you can't teach these things to everyone. People are open and compassionate thanks to the people in his/her life and these things can't happen because all people are different.

Travel. Seeing other cultures really teaches about your own country and how lucky we are in some ways and utterly awful we can be in others.
