I've been asked to create a specific craft project for a small magazine published in NY. They have told me exactly what they want and I am to provide the item for a photo shoot along with written instructions. I have an idea of what to charge for the project but would like to know what freelance writers are charging for magazine work on a per word basis.

Get a copy of The Best of the magazine Markets for Writers...it answers every question you can think of when it comes to getting published...it covers everything from fees/copy writing/tax concerns...the works. Good luck.
