If you say 'there will always be horrors then you are inviting it to be that way.'

If you were honest and serious about it would admit to yourself, its because I dont know any different?

This is a question i put to myself also, so really need to turn it back at me as an answer, but if thats all some of you have to offer then thats fine :)

Surely we neednt add to it in anyway. Changes are possible from each one of us.

Well, because those horrors are so far away; because I'm involved with my nice safe life; because I have a busy job; because there are so many people way more powerful than myself stopping me from changing things; because I have lost heart; because I'm used to the horrors; because North American society is in decay and no one knows or cares; and because I can ignore it by sittiing at my computer pretending to be smart.

I am not willing to put up with the horrors of this world and I am sure many other people are not either.
The thing is, horrors don't always strike everyone at the same time, and by then it is too late.
Most horrors we have experienced in the past 100 years were initially ignored from fear or else from self-interest. Or sometimes from the hope that someone else would put things right.
Does anyone truly believe in the concept "The Power Of One" anymore? There should be more education about that; whether from movies or novels or serious texts.

I'm not. I'll strive against torture, detention, disappearance and illegal detention for the rest of my life. Too many people are too content to ignore what is really going on in the world. These are the people who complain about graphic films on TV even after the 9.00 p.m. threshold.
It's never going to be easy, but we can't ignore the facts. Until a few years ago people believed that torture and incarceration without trial were acts committed by dictatorships, and/or so-called 'uncivilised' states. Well now we know different and we have to admit, to our shame that even the 'greatest defender of human rights' is no better than the rest. Well, you asked.

Darlin, it'll never be any different.
Of course we don't know any different. NOONE has ever lived in a world where bad things didn't happen. Yeah, I'd like to say that I'm unwilling to put up with the way things are, but unfortunately, just like you and everyone you know, I am a product of a society that thrives on fear, chaos and horror.

I am not willing to put up with horrors of the world. I understand that this the product of collective ignorant minds. What we see now in our world is our own making. Now are we still having this selfish (free will) destructive personalities?, then if we are, we are advocating this catastrophe

Why does anyone put up with problems, illnesses, or any other trials and tribulations? Because life, even with its attendant miseries, is preferable to the alternative!

some of us are'nt and we work to change some of these horrors or with people who experience them or live within them. But ultimatly we can only be responsible for our own actions.

what ever you can do you will do.
whatever you can't , well you just can't.
why you are willing to put up with it, is that sometimes you just simply have no choice(of course you have the choice of ending it all if you want! then you don't have to put up with it.not that i'm recommending that.)
God bless,
gabe

What do you suggest I do about it, fight the US troops in Iraq, hunt down terrorists with my bare hands. You have to tolerate that which you can do nothing about it.
