how do i convert degrees celcius to degrees fahrenheit?

if c is the temp in celcius and f in fahrenheit.
((f-32)/9)=(c/5)

Another way that doesn't require you to remember formulas that are different but look similar depending on which way you're going:

But you do have to understand the 2 temp scales. The number of degrees between freezing and boiling is 100 in celcius and 180 in Fahrenheit. So set up a ratio. Say you started with 20 celcius.

20/100 = f/180 so f = 20*180/100 = 36.

But remember that 20 was 20 degrees more than the freezing point: 0. So in fahrenheit it's 36 degrees more than the freezing point: 32. So 20c is 68f (32+36).

Multiply by 9/5 and add 32
