There are early detection pregnancy tests that can be taken as early as 4 days before you would have started your period. Other cheaper ones you have to wait until you are late.
All of them are accurate. I find that the digital ones that say the words on them PREGNANT and NOT PREGNANT are the most believeable. I wasted alot of money on the ones with lines because I couldn't figure out if a faint line was positive, etc.
Spend more on one with the words and you won't have to waste more money on the confusing cheaper ones.

It depends on where you live. Wal*Mart sells them from 5-50 dollars, the better ones. If you have a planned parenthood, a womens heart, or free clinic anywhere you can get a free professional one there. If not the dollar store has one for $1.08 with tax and another one for $4 dollars. The dollar one still works perfectly, that's how all 5 of my friends and I found out we were all pregnant....a couple months apart to. There are way too many to start telling you about. I went to Walgreens and bought me a 'Walgreens' brand test. 2 came in the package for $7 or so. They all have the same effect. I just wasn't going to spend $20 on one test. I wanted to take 2 anyways just to make sure......

their are several different brands, but there are only really 2 big differences, there are early response tests that you can take before you actually miss your period, or their are the regular ones that you take you have missed your period.
