There is usually a silver plate riveted to the drivers door opening on the body that tells you weight, tire pressures, month manufactured, and even the paint color. It should be below the door latch on the frame.

VIN numbers gives you the year only no the month, it is found on the plate attached at the door on the B pillar

From left to right it should be a Letter in the number 10 position. Also, just before it is a "Check Digit" 9th position that may be useful.
#10 is year
#9 may give the month
Then you call your Dealer Service Department and they may be able to help. But, give them the whole sequence of Letters and Numbers.

I think that varies from manufacture to manufacture. Check with a dealer that sells your brand of vehicle. Pops

What difference does it matter? U can get some answers from a club or U can write the mfg. Don't be so picky.
