Hi, I am working with Excel. I got a problem. In cell A1 = 3 .5 cell B1 = 3, Q is in cell C1= A1 * B1 gives me Ans: 10.5, Where as i need it as 11. Even if i multiply cell C1*6 should give me 66 not 63. Please help me !

c1=round(a1*b1)

no need to format anything (it would be a wrong thing to do anyway, because 63 would still be 63).

You need to go to "Format" then choose "Cells" and (in the "Number" tab) choose how many decimal places. If you choose zero decimals, it will round for you.

However, when you round C1 then multiply by 6, it will still give you 63, because it is using the "actual" value in that cell, not the "rounded" value.

format c1 to zero decimal places. excel will round up to 11 which will make c1*6 = 66.

Format the cell C1 to use no decimal places.

Format the cell, set the type to a number and the decimal places to zero and it will round it for you.

go to format cells and in the number tab, choose number in category and put 0 in the decimal places field.

right click and select format cells
select number on left
make decimal places to zero
click ok
