From what I remember, in the beginning there is a light falling from the sky over a hill and a little boy sees it... then people in the town become possessed (one teacher in particular is really scary to him) but only one kid realizes it... he and his teacher find the "aliens" in a hole from their spaceship landing/crashing... and in the end the feds come in to help save the day. I have no idea what the name of it is! Help!

I believe the movie you are referring to is " Invaders from Mars".
This movie was originally made in 1953 in black and white and then again remade in 1986. Truly scary for a young 50's kid! A real classic.

You WATCHED? Oy Vey! :) Right off, that sounds like two or three movies that I know of. Right off, it sounds like Xtro II: The Second Encounter (1991). Er, at least, this is the most popular one I know, in English, and of decent production. This franchise (?) managed to spawn three movies. The first was about a man who was abducted and returned to earth for his son. The second, like what you described. The third, and final, was set on an island that had been used as nuclear test site, but there is a little surprise locked up there. :) Without a date that it was made, it's hard to guess. Stars help, since they tend to live short acting lives. ;) Since the 1950s, well, sci-fi is a popular genre. Then, add in rip-offs and all, and you get a few thousand, and I have only seen a small group of them. Just your luck, this falls under the Sci-fi HORROR group, so... :) Just hope it's the right flick. Honestly, I think it's the pick of the three.
