Sadly cushions is life threatening. If you are willing to pay for the medication though, your pony will live a happy rest of his life. I also recommend talking to your vet about what medications or choices you can make!

Good Luck!

My dog had it. They gave him 2 years when he was diagnosed, but we gave him the medication and he lasted 10. He was a happy boy for those 10 years and I would do it all over again.

Good luck to you. I hope you give your pony a chance.
