The Weather girls were two (very large) ladies, who were session (backing) singers. "It's Raining Men" was written for them by Paul Jabara, who also wrote hits in the 70's for Donna Summer. One of the Weather Girls was Martha Wash, the original voice on C&C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now). Martha re-recorded "It's Raining Men" in the 90's, as a duet with RuPaul.
