How do you define moral damages?

Short of your speech causing physical harm (yelling fire in a movie theatre), or drawing resources away from where they might be needed (threatening to kill a pubic official) you should be able to say whatever you want, assuming you're not in a public service role where your words might be taken for the view of a group or the media (libel and such).

If somebody's feelings get hurt because of something you said, tough. They need to learn to deal with it.

I'm not sure what kind of answer you were looking before but I was wondering the same thing this morning. On the way to taking my three young children to school this morning a man flipped me off. It was very upsetting to me and the children. I know it is legal to flip someone off but I wanted to be able to do something. It was the same thing as flipping off my kids and they couldnt understand why that man was so angry. I told them that's what hapens when you don't go to church. :) Unfortunately it happens all the time by a lot of different people. I wish people would realize that children see everything they do and the grown ups need to grow up!

Freedom of speech in the United States simply means you can voice your opinion of the governmentwithout fear of reprisals. So many think it means they can say whatever they want when they want and that isn't the case. If you slander somebody or do them harm there are means of punishing you for it. That is not a freedom.

nowhere, there is no line, unless it physically endangers someone. for God's sake, democracy is not about being P.C., its about doing whatever you damn well please until it hurts the other person, and no, that is not code for "hurting people's feelings". I happen to be a minority, and i have had people call me hurtful names, so what? does that mean they should be arrested? who cares? i forget about it a minute later. its my choice whether to be overly sensitive or not , and speech should never be censored for a reason as weak as hurting others feelings. get a backbone and some thicker skin. I have!
