I rarely shave the bikini area, because of the itchy, pain that it causes for a long time afterwards. I have been using Eucerin, sensitive skin lotion to help soothe the area. It helps a little, for a brief time. What do you all use to help with this problem? I would like to keep up with the shaving. My man likes it this way. But I need your help because it hurts so much.

This will sound weird, but it really, really works. buy a second deodorant. (well, an anti-perspirant is better) after you shave, while the area is still damp, but not wet, use it on all the areas you shaved. wash it off before bed (yummy, deo!! lol) and i promise those itchy red bumps will be cut down to less than half. it helps tighten up the pores, which helps to prevent the ingrowns. i swear tho, this is what i use and it is very effective. nothing nicer than a clean shave!!! lol

I think the shave gel that "King of Shaves" makes is awesome! I have really sensitive skin like you, even on my legs and I have stopped having irritation when I use this. It's about $7 for a tube, usually in the Men's shaving section...but it's great for women too. Make sure you use a good razor too--they have smaller ones that are easier to manuver in the bikini area. Also, make sure that the panties you wear are comfortable in that area. Sometimes, they rub and cause irritation. Hope this helps! : )

witch hazel before and right after shaving.
also let all heal before you shave use a face quality scrub i like freeman apricot. at the drugstore or general stores..
and moisturize before.
with a dermatologist recommended moisturizer..lubriderm nutriderm cetaphil..... for sensitive skin no fragrances or fancy ingredients..
and ask your man to shave his once so he knows what you go through! then he might not "need" fro you to suffer so much..
