I'm more interested in hearing from people who listen to people like Rush, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc but others are welcome too. Do they provide you with a balanced view of complex issues?

No they give their opinions and they give or couch the facts in a way that is most likely to support their opinions. Unlike most of the mainstream media which does the same but with a liberal slant, the conservatives are honest and open about their biases.

By listening, reading and watching both sides, a person can intelligently make up their own minds regarding the issues.

A person that gets their info from one side only is ill-informed. It is very difficult to not hear or see the mainstream media in one way or another so it is more likely that conservatives are getting a more balanced view of the world.

I think that the big guys, Rush, Hannity, and Beck probably have their facts straight almost 100% of the time (they have entire departments of fact checkers). Those trying to climb the ladder of listeners probably make some stats up to draw in a crowd. I would say that what most people complain about is their interpretation of the facts. These are conservative people who don't have to provide a "balanced view" of complex issues. Rush often opines that he is the balance against the liberal media. Even though I enjoy them, I usually try to validate their facts later. Thanks to the internet age, that is much easier to do than just 20 years ago.

As a Conservative myself, I'll be the first to say, some don't. Especially Sean Hannity...he's a fraud and nothing more than a "Rush-Wannbe." He contradicts himself on a daily basis, and when he gets caught, he dumps the caller. I have no respect for the man. Now Rush is a different story. In my opinion, he presents us with the facts and lets us make up our own minds. I respect him.

And yes, I really am a Conservative: http://www.edwimmer.com

the reason talk radio has such a large audience is because the main stream media doesn't give us both sides of any issue. dan rather proved that if they don't like the facts, they simply make-up new ones and expect us to believe their crap.

The fact that you can label it "conservative talk radio" is a pretty clear indication that it is unbalanced.
