Powers like:
flying, teleporting, controlling fire, moving objects with your mind, strength, reading thoughts, being flexible, invisiblity.. etc
Pretty much think of xmen movies, sky high, fanastic four, justice league when thinking of different powers.
Don't forget to explain "Why?"
I would like to have a teleport power, over long distances. I then would'nt need a car to get places. I would always be on time everywhere. Why not flying? I would'nt want to freeze in the middle of atlantic ocean, flying to Europe :)

You're all wrong *MMUAAHAHAHAHAHAHA* Just kidding. I actually thought about this the other day, and I have the best answer for that question. I thought about it after hearing it on the radio one day, and many people had similar answers...to fly, super speed, etc. What about the power to grant wishes??? Wouldn't that be amazing? If you could only choose one special power it would have to be to grant wishes...wishes to yourself and wishes to others. You wouldn't ever be forced to grant anyone's wishes and if they tried to make you...then simply wish yourself to someplace else. You could, then, either be really good or really evil and you could have every power imaginable for as long or short a period of time as you want. You could wish to die for 1000yrs and then suddenly live again, to see what the world would be like without having to wait. Time travel, technology, world hunger, you could rule the world if you could grant wishes. *EXCITED* You could be rich or poor, change your appearance, ANYTHING with a simple wish.

I would like teleportation powers as well. My life is spread out over about 3000 miles and it's getting difficult to maintain. That would pretty much fix everything for me.

No real offense but a silly Q and not at all Philosophical.
Given the opportunity however, I'd choose higher levels of understanding, acceptance, and tolerance,,,which in effect might help me be a "Super man" on many levels.

I'd like to have the power to prevent dumb people from doing dumb things.
Think of it; no career for Paris Hilton.
No more pointless, meaningless/meandering plots on LOST.
No more republican presidents.
No more "white chics" movies.
Ahhhh, what a paradise that would be. If I had this super power I'd be unanimously voted as "SUPREME LEADER OF THE KNOWN UNIVERSE."

Teleport power, visualise it , having used it , enjoyed for a year... then what? The quality of mind is same.. Instead , I would prefer to empower myself to deepen the perception, and elevate the conciousness to highest peaks.... thereby, all other powers are available for ever, not that we would need any of them ever !

The freedom that flight would afford makes it my choice, like super man though, not like arc angel, those wings make him look like a freak.
