I've heard over and over again 'go away on a trip alone and it'll happen'. Well, hubby and I are going away this weekend ALONE to relax and have fun. We'll see if this theory works or not! haha Anyone else have any luck with this? :)

The point to the trip .. is to relax.... and enjoy your time away !!!!!!!! NOT TO THINK ABOUT GETTING PREGNANT !! So if that is why you are going ...then you are defeating the purpose !!! Just get away from your everyday routine....especially the trying to get pregnant routine !!!! Enjoy your weekend..... drink, dance,,,,, relax... make love.... but don't think about ..... "will this be the weekend"... best of luck... sweetie !!!! Have a wonderful weekend away !!!!! 8)

This is my standard answer......... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler
This book will help you with all of your menstrual and conception questions. It’s for all women - not just women trying to conceive. It covers everything from temperature to mucus checking, etc.. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! It tells you how to figure out your cycle and what to expect. My husband and I tried for a year to conceive and nothing happened. The first month I used the book we conceived right away. Now I am due Feb 2. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!

Yeah it works but stay away from the hot tubs because some of the are so hot they kill the sperm that you want for something else. Have fun and relax. Also start right now on vitamins with folic acid in them it helps prevent birth defects. Good luck.

Worked for me. Our trip was scheduled around my ovulation. We had a weekend of baby making time. It was one of the most romantic vacations.
