I have a good friend whom I have romantic feeling for. Can I still be friends with him without hurting myself or our friendship? How can I get passed my feelings and keep it friends only?

I am in a relationship of 5 years but I have a friend whom I have feelings for and always have had feelings for. I just want the way I feel for him to go away because I already have someone I love. I care for my friend very much and would like to keep our friendship the way it is. How can I make this all work out?CONFUSED!

You have plenty of time. Don't stress it. Whatever is meant to be will happen in time.
Friendships are always a secure foundation to build a relationship on. Eventually everything will begin to make sense but for now, the in between change development process is confusing.
Just let everything fall into place. It's not in your hands.

You must keep your feelings in check if he doesn't express the same interest in you.
What is more important to you??? A chance with him or a friendship that you share....
Both parties have to be "barking up the same tree" for it to work.
This is totally one-sided and can't work
Maybe he has a nice friend he could introduct you to,
Your emotions may be peaking for a reason also
maybe something personal, feeling lonely. or left out.
This could cause you to feel this way abouot a friend...

Yes you can stay friends but make sure that you don't become more than friends because I can garentee that your friendship will never be the same and may very well be finished.
