If you had a new car and it broke down would you take it to the garage to be fixed or sell the car for scrap? Of course you'd fix the car. The same applies to people in prison: Society has invested money on them and they should be expected to repay that investment.
If you really believe this then start with people of your own demographic. If your a white middle class male with a well paid job then that is where you should start.
Why pick on people who've been brought up in a suburb with high unemployment, poor educational resources, inconsistent welfare rules, exploitative employers, and are unable to vote in elections because the rules and placement of polling booths favors the rich.

Of course it is AN answer, but there will be a whole slew of those opposed to this citing 'cruel and unusual punishment' etc.
I personaly would consider it a serious option for capital murders involving rape or similar and/or abduction especially of minors.
However perhaps the real question is would you be willing to do it, to which I have to answer NO.
There just might be one innocent among the guilty!

I believe machine gunning is both wasteful and expensive and as such should return to the old methods of hang, draw and quartering or locality permitting tide to stakes at low water mark for two tides to pass over their heads.

NO. Mandatory reversible vasectomies for every male over 12 years old is the answer.
There would never be an unwanted pregnancy again and studies have shown that virutally ALL cirminals came form a severely dysfunctional early childhood experience.
Loving parents, make loving children who do not commit crimes.

Machine Gunning is to easy!!
Let them fight eachother to the death and we can televise it. 22 at a time and the last man (or woman) standing can get a pardon.
Noel Edmonds can host it - 'Death or No Death'. (or Free or no Free - sound better but my English teacher just had a heart attack!)

LMAO well David I think I'm safe to say what ever I like due to the fact that you are blind and can't read my reply. But surely now you are no longer Home Sec there's no real need to bother yourself over this issue, just leave it for Mr Reed to sort out. Then you can carry on with your serial Bonking, and just sit back waiting for your book royalties to roll in, please give my regards to your seeing eye dog for me.
