Question for the rich and/or conservatives: under a liberal government, is it better to be a slave of liberals by letting them tax the hell out of you, make you feel guilty for being rich, punish you for being rich, spending your own money, claiming to have worked for your money, and having a different opinion, OR is it better to sacrifice patriotism and leave the oppressive taxation and anti-success mentality of a liberal government and move to another country with less taxes? whats there to be patriotic about if the country HATES you for being successful and/or having a different opinion?

I would just like to say that I am flat *** broke, and I am a conservative. Secondly, I wouldn't say that the country "HATES" you for being successful, but largely, the large billion dollar corporations are outsourcing to save labor money, and they shouldn't be REWARDED for it by being exempt or anything. You pay a percentage. If you don't want to be taxed at that level, don't get rich. People who have a lot of money and complain about their taxes piss off those of us who are getting shut-off notices from the electric company and are paying taxes, too. Get over yourself. Life is about more than money. The sooner you realize that, the happier you will be.

First up, the rich are paying more in taxes now than ever before. Second, there are very few countries where taxes are lower, why do you think everyone wants to be here? I'm a Dem and I know that.

There are 783 billionaires in the world. They control more wealth than 6.5 billion. The 783 got their billions through the hard work of the other 6.5 billion. These billionaires are NOT paying their fair share of their taxes. Their taxes come no where close to being in proportion to their share of the assets which they control.
I know you directed this question to the rich or conservative of which I am obviously not one. I doubt that you will get an answer from any of the 783 billionaires that I referred to, so I gave you one.

Ask Bill Gates or Oprah, they are both Democrats. Also ask Bill Clinton since he was opposed to the Republican tax cut for Americas top one percent of Incomes. Also ask any Corporation since they pay no taxes at all. Under Republicans we have a $9 trillion debt over ten years. The Republican war in Iraq, nation building, will cost working class tax payers $2 trillion over ten years. Now if your single and your taxable income is over $319,100 per year you owe $92,592.50 in taxes for the 2004 tax year. You did not get a tax cut, your total taxes went up. Add your Republican passed State, Local and your property taxes. they are all taxes. BTW, Arnold gets $20 million per picture. Plus his Salary as Governor in California. He really needs a tax cut bad.
Arnold has never worked a day in his life.

i think a man should keep what he earns. the tax should be a fixed percantage for everyone. that would give incentive to those who would otherwise live off of YOUR money. i think a senator or representative should be paid according to the wealth of their own constituents.

You don't have to be rich to be a conservative. That's propoganda put out by the wealthy Democrats.
