it actually was never really my favorite song, but i liked it a lot until i went to a friends party and i sung it on her karaoke machine. i screwed the whole song up!
so basically, i made myself stop liking the song!

A bad version doesn't change the inherent quality of a song, just your perception of it. So give the lousy one a miss and listen to the one you like. If you don't regain your hope, then it probably was misplaced to begin with.
