my x-boyfriend & my name is on the deed to the house but only his name is on the mortgage. Do i have equal rights to the house? We were never married or any kids.

The property is half yours as long as your name is on the Deed ... but don't expect to actually get half unless you can prove significant contribution.

He may have paid the mortgage, but did you pay all the utilities, upkeep, maintenance, etc

How long did you live there? 10 years will give you more of a cut than 6 months will. There are a lot of factors to be taken into consideration, so you really should be speaking with an attorney.

I believe that you are entitled to have of the value of the property where he is solely responsible for the payments as you are not on the mortgage. But there are lots of legal advice dot coms out there to ask. As long as your name is on the deed you are entitled to half of the property.

Mortgage doesnt matter, who's name is on the deed matters.

Your name is on the deed then it is half yours.
Mortgage is in his name so he is responsible for it not you.
But to be fair you should also consider half the mortgage is yours.

Thats tricky as he can prove hes the only one paying the payments, You still should have equal rights as long as your together, if you split up thats when it will be sticky, but
i think you still will have rights there to.

depends did you make any of the mortgage payments if not I say no. cause the you would be a gold digging whore. if you did pay the i hope so

in most states the cops would say yes ,because they don't want to get involved with this issue , but its up to the judge, in the court system ,find a good attorney
