Being a Christian, I believe porn to be very wrong and damaging. I have a beautiful wife and am very happy, but due to a situation outside our control right now, I'm having a little bit of difficulty in this area. Without going into more detail, I'm just writing to get some advice or answers from someone on this issue and ways to defeat it. So any answers or emails are appreciated

No, I mean there is a situation right now that is not under our control that is preventing normal sexual relations, which has in a sense made looking at certain things more tempting.

You present a practically unimaginable scenario: porn that is outside your control. I don't see how that is possible. Are you saying someone is holding a gun to your head forcing you to look at porn? If so, I feel sure God will not hesitate to forgive you!

You have two choices. You can be open with yoursefl about watching porn or you can lie to yourself and still watch it. Obviously being a christian isn't working too well for you right now, but that's ok because 99% of the christians i've met in my life end up having bad habbits or have bad habbits, but don't tell anyone connected with their church. If you need it, then you need it or get some couples therapy.

I think porn is only wrong because it can be an adiction and alter your life style. It is hard to keep it in moderation. Just like hard drugs. They say it is a sin and yada yada to keep you from even trying it becuase it can be addiction, alter your lifestyle and even drive a void in a healthy sexual relationship becuase it creates urges that cannot be fulfilled, or adleast cannot without being unfaithful.
You want to defeat it? So you are saying you don't want to have the urge to look at it? Well, my only advice would be to focus on your wife and the deeper connection you too could have glorify her, not the S E X. and if you have urges, share them with her before you seek gratification through smut.

Just take some pictures of her in sexy poses sweetheart. This will be fun and you can look at them. Of course buying a small safe to put them in is a no brainer, but still get creative with her involved and that should help. The other is only going to cause you to keep having distance from her and well eventually bad things can happen. Porn is not the answer. Tempting, but not the answer. Good luck and god bless.

What is great about being a christian is you expect the following:

1) what ever you do on earth all you have to do is go to a confession and all sin is removed and you go to haven.

2) Religion is for the Guilty. You feel guilty finding lust as being part of being a human where you believe Lust for your wife is only way you can have. Lust for the rest of us pagans is just another emotion to try to balance in our life. too much is dangerous, too little make us not want to live. found you balance and make peace with that.

3) you expect us (pagans) to die and burn in hell before or after the rapture. of which i say "god bless your little heart" so what ever I say don't mean sh##.

I wasnt aware that ones spirtual beliefs was a symbiotic relationship with your primal male urges. What exactly is wrong with porn? Does it allow you to gratify yourself in the way that man was made to be? Is it not better to spill your seed in the privacy and safe domain of your bedroom, bathroom, whatever, then to find yourself in extra martial affairs that not only deceive you, but everyone involved. Do you not have needs? Or is better to deny those needs for the sake of staus, or labeling. To denie yourself is to denie the very essence of who god is, and what he spoke. No matter what you are saved, because you choose to be. It's that simple, and has nothing to do with your sexual urges.

I wish you well

Christian against porn??? Have you read the bible? There is some much sex in that book.

Well anyway, you could do what I did with smoking. There is a mental time period in your head that says "Its been so long. I want to do it see it again". The trick is to tell yourself that time has not passed yet.
Example: Its been years since I smoked, but I tell myself its only been two weeks. If I think about it I crave a smoke, but saying its only been two weeks makes me feel better.
