"Rap" is to "music" as "Islam" is to "religion". Both are based on violence and degrading women.

Hahahaha....no, I'm not surprised. However, rap isn't based on simply violence and degrading women. In fact, it's about the way of life for individuals-particularily African-American people. Most rappers come from a background where there was little or no hope for success as a human being. They live in the "ghetto" and grow up having a stigmatism on their heads. So, when they rap they talk about the things they had to go thru in the "ghetto"...i.e. sell drugs, pimp, do crimes etc.. Although many of these rappers are successful, they still have the same mentality as they had when they lived in the "ghetto". For example, carrying loaded guns in a public place is illegal, but they are so used to carrying a gun that they don't acknowledge the negative effect it will have on them doing so.
In order for you to completely understand this you would've had to grow up in this type of environment and listen to this type of music often.

No to tell u the truth. I hope it was 50 cent I don't like him. His music sucks. Eminem at least tells the truth when he raps and its better that way.

i just read your link! i'm so sad that fabulous got shot! i really liked him.
