Why is there always a health and safety issue, when is comes to celebrating christmas, and Council's banning Street lights etc. But for and other celebration ie Dawali no problem,?
It seems only Christian celebrations cause health and safety probs.

I wonder where you are
"political correctness rules "LOL!!!

here in Essex ,we have a welter of Christmas lights,
in every high street , ;)

but i would not put it past, one of the County Councils,
to be putting the *dampers* on out street festive lights and trees .

The big fashion now,
is for people to festoon thier private houses,
with decorative Lights at Christmas time .
( OMG will they demand planning permission now ??)

as for Diwali or other festivals of light , good luck to them , they should also be allowed to enjoy their Holidays .

>^,,^<

Here in Bradford, England, we have Diwali lights up from September, and they stay up until Christmas, changing to Christmas lights around about the end of October. We've also started to have Eid lights up, but with Eid getting earlier every year, we'll have them up in Summer soon...and the we'll all feel Wintery and Christmassy (delete as applicable) and there'll be lights from August to January...

I wasn't aware there was a "health and safety" issue with holiday decorations for any particular holiday.

Did you also know that its now "politically incorrect" to call them Christmas Lights. It might cause offence.

You must now call them "Winter Lights"

ah, what a wonderful country we live in. Not.

Christianity causes death and destruction, and its believers are mentally ill. They need to be separated from the general population and confined somewhere.
