So many people are in debt because of medical bills. Doctors make so much money but treat those without a dime, perscribing this and ordering that. 20% to 40% of the average Americans paycheck is taken for healthcare yet we get reemed on deductibles and payouts. Healthcare is free in Canada, so whats our problem? My theory is the greedy healthcare corporations and doctors. What do you think?

I shouldn't have said healthcare is free in Canada. I know it is paid for by taxes but they do not pay out of pocket everytime like we in the US do.

Could be greed, could be many things.

But as long as you do not think that the 'affordable' healthcare is supposed to be handed to you by the government, I can very much understand the want to understand why it does cost... the common misconception is that if the govt provides it, it will be free... when in fact the cost to the average American for the same healthcare will be much more because of govt red tape and bureaucracies... the other misconception is that 'Healthcare is free in Canada', which if you consider the tax rate that is well above 40%, you can see that it is not...

No we will never have affordable healthcare to answer your question.None of the idiot politicians we have elected can figure out how to do it without it costing a fortune and getting everyone to agree on it.

Well, we will have affordable health care when the government looks into the "justified" health care costs. The USA government needs to stick it to them!! Socialist health care (like Canada) is NOT the answer. A capitalist health care system is the one that works best WHEN the providers are held accountable for their corruption.

Actually the doctors are less and less involved in the equation - the health care corporations and pharmaceutical companies keep raking it in though. And they contribute heavily to the politicians who will maintain the status quo.

The answer is campaign finance reform. Get private money out of campaigns.

I hope & pray that Health care WILL NOT go socialist.

Certainly, a basic program is welcome in my mind. This would include vacinations, and the most basic of services. I belive that if you want to deny God of death that you should pay for it out of your own pocket. What, ppl want me to anti-up so they can have more "Sex Pills" (viagra, cialic) so that they can molest childreen ... don't think so.
