i'm almost 11 weeks and have an incompetent cervix which i'm due to have the cerclage on the 30th of this month because it can't be put in until 12 weeks...i just have never had my cervix to open this soon

Yeah it happens to some women. Usually they're able to fix it right up and monitor it for the rest of the pregnancy. You might end up on bed rest as the baby grows bigger, depends on the situation and what they were able to do about it.

My mother had an incompetent cervix when she was pregnant with my sister and I. Guess that she got this condition because my grandmother was given a special drug when she was having premature contractions with my mother and later this drug was found out to cause an incompetent cervix to females while in utero, so to baby girls. I do not want to scare you but my mother had to have a special medical procedure where her cervix was tied together to hold baby inside uterus longer, she was put on bed rest and still delivered my sister and I a little premature. But we were fine and my mother was fine after the delivery and recovery. She still had vaginal births. I would not panic as I was told this. I am not an expert. Your OB-gyn or nurse-midwife can further help to answer any of your questions.

Lie down and stay there. My friend had her cervix open really early, they had to sew it closed, and she spent the next 3-4 months in the hospital with her hips higher than her head. But she got beautiful twins out of it.

just do some major rest dont lift things that you feel it is unsafe for you to lift talk to your doctor also
