I got a blank text {message cannot be displayed}. When I checked the number on the internet, I see that this is a premium rate number to order ringtones and suchlike..........I have never downloaded any ringtones or premium rate services to this phone.
I don't see any charges on my account yet, but I don't know how long it takes for my provider to update the charges to my account.

Has anyone else had this? is this a scam to charge my mobile account for a service that i dont subscribe too?

i wouldn't answer, because that is when they con you and draw money from your account, also tell you service provider, ring them and tell them about it, so they can sort it out!!

Maybe it was an offer that u received from them yo download ringtones ... it doesn't mean that they are going to charge you for something that u hasn't bought. Maybe u receive a charge but it is for the message ... it depends on your service provider between 10 to 25 cents ... some messages are free ....

Sounds like 'phishing' to me - don't answer it and tell your provider asap.

Although it might just be that it's mobile junk (I get random annoying stuff I never asked for - people can get your number various ways then add you to a mailing/texting list) which would be an innocuous but annoying advert if only your 'phone displayed in the format they've used, which it clearly doesn't.

So, like any junk, ignore them and hope they'll go away!
