What people are trying to say is that self confidence plays a HUGE role in beauty. I, for the longest time, believed that I was the "girl next door", that I wasn't pretty enough. It wasn't until I started seeing myself as a beautiful intelligent woman that others started seeing me the same way. The more I believe I am gorgeous, the more self confidence I have and I believe that even in my pjs with hair in a ponytail I am beautiful. It's within you! Just believe!

This is a very old question that is asked alot.
What this means is that to be a beautiful person you must love yourself truly and be happy and content with yourself and your image before others will believe that you are beautiful.
If you love yourself it shows. You are more confident and happy, assertive and also more respectful of others. THIS is what makes you a beautiful person.

Part of beauty is attitude. Someone who has the physical traits of beauty (nice body, good bone structure, etc) but who does her best to become part of the wallpaper will not be noticed, or if she is will be seen as plain.
Someone who may not be the classic image of beauty but who acts confident, assured, and sexy will be hailed as a beauty. If you look at Julia Roberts, her facial features aren't that great - she's got too strong and long a face, a large nose, really wide lips... but she's got ATTITUDE and that is what makes her attractive.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder..do you see yourself as others see you or for the beautiful person that you know is inside and outside..society formulates ideals and norms that dictate what IS beauty but that does not have to be our definition by design..look at your own beauty and make that decision based upon your soul not your mom or your TV or your boyfriend or your favorite pop star.

That if you don't believe you're beautiful then you have low self confident in yourself. This is normally blatantly evident in how someone acts and carries themselves. Beautiful people are confident in their own skin. If you aren't then no one will take you seriously.

You know when a person feels good about themselves, and feel confident within then they shine, and how they feel is reflected from the inside out....i have seen many people who you would not class as beautiful to look at straight away, but there was something that shone in them that drew me to them...now thats real beauty if ever i saw it.

in this age of media hype and so called fashion sense it should simply be you won't believe you are beautiful!
i have never had a single girlfriend to just be like that really means a lot to me thanks its always no i'm not blah blah blah i'm not thin enough to be beautiful (bearing in mind that firstly these aren't fat people and secondly beauty is in the eyes of the beholder)
