I think they would. All banks ask motorcyclists to remove helmets etc., there has been a ban on "hoodies" in some shopping precincts and to cover one's face is to thwart (intentionally or not) the extensive range of cctv cameras and some road traffic cameras which abound today. I don't think the govt. could afford to lose the revenue from the last category, so I guess they would take action.

There is a law around here that says anyone over the age of 18 may not wear any type of covering over his face. It does not give exception to religious or cultural differences. It only excludes October 31.

What I would like to know is this.

When these women go into a Bank, doe's the Bank let them in?

Motor Cyclists have to Remove their Crash Helmets when going into Banks,Building Society's and any Government Buildings including DHSS and Tax Buildings and a lot of Stores and small shops too.

I personally think we should ALL start wearing a Veil, if we all do it including Men what are they going to do !! Not a Lot,

It may help to get the Government to Abolish All Veil's over faces though.....let's try it and see.

Bloody good point! They banned hoodies and motorcycle helmets in banks and post offices. I think if we all wore them they WOULD get banned.

Before some **** gives me a bad rating - I'm NOT racist - just sick and bloody tired of being dictated to. And yes, I like to see the face of the person I'm talking to. I don't give a sh*t WHAT colour or creed they are!

I wonder what all your reactions would be if you owned a jewellery shop and a rich Arab walked in with half a dozen of his female family wanting to spend a million dollars on presents for them all !!
No doubt you would throw him out??????
Don't I remember Micheal Jackson wearing a mask of sorts, the red carpet was laid for him when he went shopping!!
How about big bushy beards, Sikhs wear those, cant we ban them also??
And while we are 'banning' what about these men and women wearing nose rings and studs all around their faces! surely they should be banned??
I've also always been very suspicious of big bushy eye brows, we cant put up with those for much longer surely??
Or maybe all those things are OK, unless they belong to a Muslim??

If more than half of the people covered their faces, then the government would tax it and then make it compulsory.

We should have an 'International Silly Day' and all dress up in hoods, masks and the like. Let's see what happens.

Try going into work and wrapping a head scarf around your face and see what happens!

Try wearing one for your passport photo or driving licence picture.

That WOULD be entertaining.

The next time we have to renew our passports/driving pic I say we all do that and then complain that it is against our "human rights" not to be photographed with it on *chortles*
