Windows media player Re gener drop down menue?

I have a small problem with my windows media player, when I either want to add the genre or change it, a small menue drops down withy whatever I type in. I have typed in something by error and is a nusanse can I delete the words or letters in the menue that drops down>?

Can you not right click on it and delete it?
