I never had bushy eyebrows to start with, and I dont pluck them at all - in fact I never really plucked them, but now they are really quite thin. I have not lost any hair apart from quite abit of my eyebrows and I am quite worried that they wont grow back again. Is it due to the pregnancy hormones and if so, then how come it happened now and not after I give birth?

This is how it is when you are pregnant. Your body is going through extreme changes and strange things is going to happen during the development of your baby. I had a bad case of acne and that never happened too me before. My eyebrows also seem a little thinner then usual and it does not seem to be growing as fast as it use too. I am not worried because I know that it has something to do with the pregnancy.

My hair is growing like crazy and that did not happen with my other pregnancies. Being pregnant is a big challange.. Don;t worry you will be fine, after you have the baby within a few weeks your body will get back to normal.. Good Luck!!!

Yes, hormones that are released during pregnancy can cause loss of hair and skin to dry out, etc. I would not worry about your eyebrows. This hair should grow back. If this becomes severe than I would ask your doctor, OB-gyn or nurse-midwife about a possible solution. I lost hair after both of my pregnancies but has grown back since. I never lost all of my hair, so this was never severe. Good luck.

Hormones fluctuate through out pregnancy and after birth. Most women have healthier hair when pregnant because of the extra keratin in the body.

Iam sure it will remedy itself when you're hormones settle back down.

Make sure you're taking your prenatal and eating right. Hair loss can be a sign of poor nutrition. The baby will suck whatever it needs from your body, whether you have consumed it or not, you need to make sure you're getting enough to leave some for your body's own needs.

prenatal vitamins are supposed to be really good for your hair and nails. if you notice hair is thining, it could be a sign of malnutrition. i would ask your dr. about it if it gets worse or whenever your next appt. is. good luck!
