Ok, you guys don't really think I have a spider in my ear, right?
I'm just curious, so calm down.

Littlelota71 - why the attitude? And I'm still trying to figure out why you put "him" in quotes. I don't get it. I thought this was a pretty innocent question. I do not understand all the 'tudes.

Assuming a non-perforate tympanic membrane, about 16 millimeters on average.Of course, the larger the spider, the sooner its progress will be impeded. The spider cannot make it to your brain because yuor eardrum would prevent that from happening. The spider would either die in your external auditory canal or exit.

Sharing a bed with a spider usually results in a squished spider. Just put it on the floor.

depends my dear... if the spider decided to live in your ear, he wouldnt be able to since there's nothing to feed on!
as to how far it can go, you dont have to worry, it cant get to your brain. the inner ear is actually a pretty horrid place to live in, its like a hole thats dark, dry, smelly and nothing to eat. The spider will get out of there as soon as it gets ample rest or feels threatened.

Yep, and she's going to lay a million eggs in your brain. They'll start coming back out in a month or so...Let me know when they hatch so I can get a baby spider from you.

Your ear is very tiny i highly doubt a spider could crawl in very far.

Most of the time they climb right back out, but sometimes they get caught in the wax. Strange stories have happened with insects going down ear canals, but to my knowledge most insects die.

If it's a female spider there is a possibility of her laying eggs in your ear.

Depends on how big it was. Probably would get stuck in the ear wax.
