Fred Lynn, 1975 Red Sox. And the curious thing was that Jim Rice was also a rookie the very same year and also posted great numbers. Lynn won the MVP with 326 points and Rice came in third with 154. In the ROY award voting, Rice came up second.

Obviously Lynn is the correct answer, but I'm just answering the follow-up question.
Don Newcombe won the ROY in 1949, then the MVP and Cy Young Award in 1956.
