You should watch your carb intake. Eat more protein. There is a special diet for diabetics that you can get a copy of from your dr or maybe even on the web somewhere. You need to be very careful because usually women with gestational diabetes have children that have a heavier birth weight and could even be premature. Make sure you are drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day and walk as much as you can. There are ways to have healthy pregnancys and healthy babies with diabetes, you just have to work a little harder!

The norm is 80 to 120 mg/dl ( non-pregnant ) but everyone is different. During pregnancy it seems everything is out of control. If your showing a 150mg/dl or higher on a regular basis you should talk to your Dr. and have things checked to be on the safe side. I have included the web address so you can look up more information if you need. Good luck

Eat a sensible diet, keep fatty and sugary foods to a minimum. Eat plenty of fruit and veg and not too much meat. Try and eat complex carbohydrates (ie not processed!) and eat snacks between meals (fruit is good).
The doc or midwife should keep an eye on your blood glucose levels.
The web site below is very good and has loads of info.

listen to your doctor and what he/she has to say.

With diabetes, you need to be careful of carb intake. Exercise, drink water, get plenty of rest.

look it up on Google for more info
