I know I had heard it was closing for good on Oct 1, then I've heard some rumors that it was pushed back to the 15th. I'm going down there next week and was hoping it might still be open...

Nope. Closed down for a new ride, something to do with The Fast And The Furious movie.

I haven't visited recently, but the official website still shows that the ride is open.
However, this Orlando Sun article says the ride will be closing soon, but doesn't give an exact date.

I'm pretty sure it's closed. They're taking it out to make a new ride.
Truth is, I hated that ride; I whacked my head so hard on the seats during one move that I had a killer migraine the rest of my day in the park.

It was open when I was there in May, but reading the other answers is leading me to believe it isn't open any more. I agree too that ride hurt your head!!!

It is probably shut down now. I know that was a rough simulator. I was nauseous after riding that each and every time.

im sorry but i just checked and i do believe they have shut down that ride. check out the islands of adventures i bet you will love it if you are a daredevil like me.
