Absolutely, wear what you want. I think that rule went out years ago! (Though white shoes should be left for brides only...)

This is sort of a hard question to answer. Yes the white after labor day rule is outdated. But it shouldn't be completely thrown out.

Personally, I feel that white tops can be worn year round.

I think white bottoms should depend on the type of fabric. Linen isn't ideal for winter and should be saved for the warmer months. It's fabric properties are better suited for summer anyway.

I also think that you shouldn't wear head to toe white in the winter, (unless its an ivory or winter white.) Wear white pants or skirts with a black or some color top and coordinate the shoes with the color top

But in all truth you should wear what you like and what looks good with your body type.

Yes. Not wearing white after labor day is a stupid rule, and it is ok to break it. As long as you wear the appropriate type of clothing for the weather, there's no problem...

Yes--- Lucky magazine even showed white shirtdresses layered over black turtlenecks and black opaque tights to "winterize" them. As much as I know that's the right "answer" in the fashion world at present, I still shy away from wearing it myself because I wonder if the rest of the world will be like "Why the heck is she wearing white, it's after Labor day!" LOL

ya you can wear white after labour day but you can only where it in small amounts and try not to wear white shoes its never good post the holiday. Like wearing a white tshirt or a white dress is not against the rules but dont go out in an all whtie outfit its just too summery for the fall. try to use pieces of white to make other colors pop.

Yes, to a degree. In the late fall / winter you should stick to a "winter white", not that same bright white you see in summer but closer to a cream. Just go with what you feel is appropriate. Feeling strange wearing bright white pants and shoes with a heavy fall jacket? Then it probably doesnt work. Usually a safe bet is layering. Instead of the white piece being the center point of your ensemble- mix in it with a few other dark pieces.

Funny cause I asked a similar question about it. I believed that you can wear a creamy-white outfit, like not plain white but with a twist of Vanillaish, get it?

not pants or shoes, summer is bascially over and it just doesn't work....after that point, some people still abide by it, some don't it's a matter of taste more than anything
