I dont know what state you live in , but where I am from you could report it as an unauthorized use of your vehicle. This seems extreme though scince you propably have let him use your car in the past, I would wait untill the end of the day and see if he comes home with it, by then you should both be calmed down and be able to have a rational conversation about what happend. If he doesnt return the car by tommorow morning then I would definatly call it in.

If you plan on leaving him, than cakll the local police and tell them that he took the car without permission and he does not have a licence. He will be charged with unlawful taking, instead of stealing a car. And you will get your car back, it's very important that you know where your car is first, so you can take possession of it, if you report it stolen he will be arrested and the car will be impounded, if you know where the car is you can call the police from the scene.

Why would you report it stolen when I am sure it's not the first time he's driven your car and you knew he is unlicensed. It seems right now you are speaking out of hurt and anger. If the relationship is over then just do what you have to do to get on with your life. What is another week going to do? If you are truly unhappy then don't stay someplace you don't want to be.

call the police, tell them that someone took your car after an argument, you did NOT give the guy permission and he doesn't have a valid license. Ask for their advice. I would report it stolen if I could. Teach them a lesson so they'll listen to me next time.
they'll get a ticket or get arrested. But hey, they shouldn't have done what they did. Next time he'll make a smarter choice

What a mess you are in. You should leave now. Yes if he wrecks the car you will get sued. your insurcance provider will not be liable for any damages. If you don't have any money and your credit is shot then join in with the other who don't care. However this is a severe problem with severe actions. You will only get him in trouble if you report him and you need to decide what actions to take. I would hide the keys this evening. or pull a plug wire.

Wait and get it back. Seems to me he is a violent person. Get your car back and leave when he least suspects you. Do not put yourself in danger by reporting it stolen. Just be careful!
