he hasnt responed to any of my letters, that i had fed-ex'd to verify he recieved them. . . and i know he knows. I dont think he cares, or wants to be a part of our baby's life :-(. Wondering if i can make it final and send some kind of termination of parental rights in case he comes around in a few yrs? or whenever he decides to be a MAN. Id like to know if i can send him some kind of form also to verify paternity to atleast collect child support. Is there such a form out there to force him to take it? And if so where can i download these forms? GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANX! ive had one rough year. Its gotta get better.

I think it's time you hired a lawyer. Sure, they can be expensive, but this is a pretty important thing to get settled the right way. You will get parental rights and child support settled legally and you will have that to fall back on if legal problems come your way later on.

I believe there is a length of time the father has to be absent in cases like this and yes, he will have to take a paternity test if he wants to deny child support responsibilities.

It will get better!!!!!!! Someday you will appreciate the good things you have more after having been through this. You need an atty. I know there is a process to end parential rights, and it can be done without the father being present. I don't know the exact process, but if you look in the newspaper you'll see ads run all the time for this. Hope this helps.

Ummm, it sounds resonable, BUT contact legal aid to be sure!!!!!! Everything varies from state to state. What state do you live in...that may make answering easier.
