i took the 1st pill of my new pack late (does it count as late if its the 1st?) more than 12 hours after i normally do. then took the next 2 on time, then stopped taking them as we decided to try for a baby, have been having sex since, including a week away on our honeymoon ;-) problem is i'm not sure when my period is due, ive been on the pill for 7 years and was initailly put on it by my dr because of extremely irregular periods. the late pill was taken on 28th sept and last pill on oct 1st. been feeling a little odd lately but not sure if its anticipation. my mum got pregnant really easily with me and my sister, is it wishful thinking that it could be hereditary?!
basically i'm wondering when i will know if i'm pregnant - obviously the arrival of a period will tell me i'm not but how long should i wait before taking a test? i dont want to disappoint my self getting all excited about doing a test if i'm doing it too early

Check if your 'feeling odd' ness symptoms resemble pregnancy, I got sore nipples but didn't know I was pregnant until the test.
Sickness isn't always the first symptom, some people never get sick.
You can get an 'early results' test from the main chemist beginning with B, pack of 2 for under £11, I would take one of those then wait a week and take the other if it is negative. One thing about the over the counter tests is that they can give you a false negative (VERY RARE) but do not ever give false positives.

well your last period must have been about the 23rd? so your nxt one should come about the 20th (approx) so i would wait a cple of days then test but b/c you did start your new pack it could through your cycle off a bit so i could be a bit later in the mth so dont get your hopes built up too much just incase it does come acple of wks late

You should take the test around the time that you would have taken the sugar pills. So, really, you could test any day now.

The test will show the proper result only after you miss your first period. So i guess you gotta wait otherwise it will show negative no matter how many time you do the test.
