Not at all! I remember getting my first period and then I didn't get another one until 3 months later. It's just that her boby is just now beginning to get used to having those horrible things ;-) Don't worry at all. I've even heard of some girls skipping for 5 months. If it happens to go longer than 5 months then you should consider taking to to an OB.

Depends if she lost significant amount of weight, like anorexic or bulimic. Is she doing either one?
First answer is agreeable, does not always stay straight on for first timers. Can you remember how yours was in the beginning? Or comparable to other female family members?

Not to worry yet. Typically about a year can pass before periods begin regularly.
And Mom, be realistic - just because you don't see her having sex doesn't mean she isn't. It could be a boyfriend or sexual abuse - neither of which may be her choice. I was 11 when it happened to me. Thank God I didn't become pregnant.

no, at first the body is trying to get into a groove of sorts. I wouldn't worry about having a pattern to her periods just yet. She's just beginning, so her body as to adjust to it.

i was very irregular when i first started. after my first period it was nearly 5 months till the next, and very sparatic for the one's after. i think it is pretty normal to be irregular during the early stages of menstruation. i wouldn't be too concerned.

the first year when a girl gets her period is always a bit chaotic... her body is still figuring it all out... I wouldn't worry to much unless she has alot of pain or peculiar symptoms... :)

She'll be ok. It's not as regular when she first starts. After a couple years it will be more regular.
