Chicago is cool. San Francisco is too but too expensive.

NYC would be the best if it wasn't so filthy, overexpensive and full of insecure people.

Best is a wide and yet relative term. However I would say that New York City is by far the most rounded and exemplifies some of the things that make this country great (the best). Freedom reigns here (that's for sure), it always has.....and while the rest of the country is speculative about issues, trends, the majority of the people in NYC are very in touch.

It's definately the most cosmopolitan and the the most trendy. Cultures converge in NYC and this results in amazing restaurants featuring cuisines from all over the world, amazing shows from every group and cultures that reside there, opinions are derived from numerous angles and everybody gets a chance to be heard. In terms of something to teach and share with everyone, I think NYC is THE BEST.

My favorite city is San Diego. It has a fantastic mild weather all year round, lots of sunny beaches, and fun outdoor things to do. As the 7th largest city in the US it also has a great deal of cultural opportunities. The city is spread out into different unique communites making it seem not a large as it actually is.

NYC, San Fran, San D, Seattle, Boston... all are tops; it depends what you're looking for.

If you want everything - and if you can handle it - then NYC offers anything you'd want.
