Get a parking ticket, move and fail to pay it, miss a court date, lose your licence and get a fine. How are you supposed to pay the fine when you need to work to pay the fine. I beleive it is the legislatures intent not to start someone off in the red as it will cause them to break the law.

It's a necessary priviledge in most parts of the country.....so don't be stupid and screw it up.

It's a privledge.
You can loose your license for the following reasons

DUI
not paying a fine from a traffic violation
not going to court for a traffic violation
excessive tickets
excessive parking tickets
not having insurance

The list can go on and on and on...

Driving is most definitely NOT a necessity. It is a privilege for those who can responsibly handle a powerful multi-ton vehicle. I think most people take this privilege for granted. If driving were that important to you, you should have thought that through before choosing to drive poorly. More people should be suspended.

Driving is a privilege, not a right. If you disobey driving laws, you will be punished accordingly. There are always other ways to get where you need to go. Ride a bike, take a bus, a cab, walk.

It's both, so don't screw up to the point that your license can be suspended or you fined. Don't confuse privilege with a right. Driving is not a right.

You can also be suspended for driving without insurance. All states make it clear that driving is a privilege, not a right....

It is a privilege awarded to adults. If you can't or won't obey the laws which are designed to protect all citizens, then you shouldn't be given that privilege.
