It is hard to make money in SL if you don't offer any of the products or services that people go to SL to buy.
One possible way is to enter contests. Look in Search/Events for contests like **Best Bikini**
make a bikini, go to the contest and try to win. Prizes are usually in the L$200 to L$500 range. A friend of mine can win L$1,000/day doing this.
The SL equivalent of minimum wage is the camping chair. Use Search, again. Clubs will pay you L$10 to L$20 hour to just be at their club. It makes them look better to other people looking for something to do.
Last, remember that L$275 == US$1 You can buy $10 worth of SL money, and get L$2750, which can last you for months. And, if you change your mind, you can sell it back and get real money again.
