The War on Terror is a nonsensical catch phrase invented by the Bush administration.

All we have done is randomly invade Iraq and start a civil war, this is not a War on Terror.

We are taking steps to prevent terror attacks, but this has been done for decades. We may be a tad more vigilant since 9/11, but we still have plenty of gaping holes in our security.

I think global communication has helped the terrorists more than those fighting terrorism.

For many years national intelligence agencies (and armies) have had billions in communications gear. Now the technology allows Osama in his cave in Pakistan to call any comrade anywhere in the world - with a $50 cell phone.

VERY nicely.. It has allowed cells all over the world NOW to develop and to keep in contact with each other... whether by outright communications and/.or thru coded messages. If global communications did not exist, these terror cells could not possibly exist except on their own

It hasn't. It just helped terrorism become 'bigger and better' since now the whole world can be scared by any terrorist attack even when it's not near them or even in their country. Global communication is empowering terrorism!
