Nobody invented a square for the first time and said hey look it's a square. After years of seeing shaped in nature and in man made structures people just named them different things. Euclid is the father of Eucidean geometry, which is the study of points, lines, and planes. But there are other geometries in the world that other people developed.

Hope this helps. Good Luck.

That's easy, God! Now, before you poo-poo my answer, hear me out. Take a look into gems and semi-precious stone structures and you will see that what I am saying is true. The parallelogram is the exact shape of Calcite crystals. The square and octagon is showcased in Pyrite. The pyramid shape is found in Flourite crystals...on and on, the geological kingdom showcases every conceivable geometric shape known by man. Pontificate on this, my friend, and you will see that what I am saying is true. Peace

No one invented geometric shapes. But, individuals have given them names that usually are related to the number of sides, angles, faces, etc.
