I was wanting to get a new video card for my dell 4600 w/ XP home edition... i think it has a 64mb NVIDA GeForce4 right now and i want to move up to 128 or 256mb... i know very little about that kind of stuff, what do i need to look at as far as compatibility goes (slot interface, type of RAM, or anything else like that, or are all cards compatible with all computers???) recommend any brands over others or should i just get something cheap? know of any good resources that teach stupid people like me how to pick out a video card? i play a couple games on there, mainly Madden football 07 and watch DVDs

You need to know first what kind of slot you have, in your case AGP 8x, and second how big your power supply is, in your case 250W. I would recommend this card to you:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102057
should work well for what you want.

ask one of your friends that is....or better still go ask the store assistant.after all can only cheat you once or twice...and would get a bad rating.
