Can you believe that Lovie Smith called the Bears "a team of destiny"? Dumb luck is more like it. They didn't win...the Cards lost. Any comments?

Any team that has to have "luck" to beat Arizona is overrated. Neil Rackers is an excellent kicker, and he missed two FG's this game. Also Dennis Green played it a little too conservative at the end of the game. He still had 2 timeouts, and plenty of time to move the ball another 15 yards, as Leinart was moving the ball at will on the last drive. The Bears didn't beat Arizona. Arizona beat Arizona. Everyone is hyping them up to go undefeated, but they've almost got beaten by 2 mediocre teams-Minnesota, and now Arizona. Rex Grossman still hasn't proved anything. Too inconsistent.

The Bears are neither "a team of destiny" or overrated. They are just a damn good team. I'm from CHicago and love the Bears but I still don't really think they'll win the Super Bowl. I hope so but don't think so. And you can't say the Bears won because of luck. The Cardinals lost the game for themselves. First of all they are the ones who fumbled. They are the ones who can defend a punt return. They are the ones who didn't make the final field goal. The Bears offense played like crap but the defense did what they had to do. Keep in mind that teams with only offense and no defense aren't amazing either.

Super Bears, Super Bowl! Super Bears, Super Bowl! I don't care if they win by dumb luck or if they're over rated, just as long as they win. It was annoying to hear the announcer say that the cards should just go home if they didn't score in the first quarter, or whatever that dumb comment was. These Bears probably won't go un-defeated (don't tell anyone I just said that) and all these comparisons to the '85 Bears are silly, that team was the best of all time. These Bears are a strong squad for sure, but they are getting over-hyped. To be a team of destiny would seem to mean that things go your way to win when you are not in a position to win, sounds like last night.

The Bears played the worst game they have played in a looooong time and they managed a victory in the 4th quarter. Everybody knows they are a great team, and even great teams have bad performances. This bad performance is a wake up call because they were starting to get a little cocky.

In my opinion, they got very lucky. They got their wake up call early in the season, and they managed to win at the same time. Since they are such a hard working group, you can be sure that they are going to be an even tougher opponent for the rest of the season.

both! the bears defense played all the right moves in the last 9 minutes or so, and from there it was too stressful for the cards. Grossman sucked the whole game, he let his nerves get to him & offense paid dearly. Urlacher was definitely teh star of this game, he was all over the place. the cards gave up the game & teh bears took the chance and went running w/it. yes they're overrated, and hell yes they have some of the best dam luck ever! go bears as long as they can!!

I think that is what a "team of destiny" is! A team that can win in spite of a poor perfromance and getting some sheer luck like last night THAT is destiny! Go Bears. Who knew I'd love ya?!

I think it's Destiny that the Bears are winning. It's been long overdue. Granted Rex Grossman screwed up alot, but he's still one damn good QB (and a HOOSIER at that!) Next to the Colts, I'm for the Bears all the way!!

Teams are going to look at last night's game and take some good notes from it. The Bears will lose a few games and will not make it to the superbowl. Teams like Carolina or the Eagles can beat them.

They found a way to win. But after that game I can safely say I don't see them going undefeated. So Team of Destiney. They're not overrated

they will bounce back from this game and take something positive from it. it probably helped them because now they know they are beatable and their offense can be shut down. this game will only make them a stronger team.

my question to you would be what other team could come back with their defense and special teams when the offense had 6 turnovers, none in this league right now.
