As a Liberal Democrat, even I think that question is a little, well... wrong. So many people of both parties are in the public eye. Maybe the things that you are watching just happen to be mostly Republican, but I don't think that I agree with what your question is implying.

david letterman is a republican? jay leno? bill maher? i don't know many republicans who are talk show hosts, i can name a couple of actors though, Arnold of course, ronald reagan, denzel washington (didn't know that did you?) charlton heston, mel gibson
