* purple/lavender - I'm not talking the 70s style... LOL.
* cranberry/red
That is what I wear most of the time if I'm wearing black clothes. I also have brown eyes. You could also try the smoky look :)

With a neutral like black, anything is game depending on the look you want. Do you have a colored eyeshadow you've been wanting to try but haven't found anything yet - try it! You can always take it off. Neutral eyes look great, as do pinks and peaches. You can do nude eyes with red lips. If you want a sultry nighttime look - try smoky eyes lined with charcaol liner smudged with a matching shadow. With this look, be careful not to go over the top of the lid - it's too much.

charcoal (black with sparkles)

You could even do a very thin line of a white frost color going around the eye with very dark mascara and eyeliner. Kind of 60s Mod look. That's the trend. I saw it in Sephora.
You could also go with what goes best with your eye color.
You could probably wear any color with black.
