I have gotten a cold twice in the past two months. Should I be worried? I just moved to a new city, so I am thinking I am not use to the weather patterns and maybe exposed to more and different germs thatn back home. But, I didn't know if getting sick twice in 2 1/2 months should raise a red flag.

I think you are ok. It may be the weather, humidity, pollen, allergies in the air, etc. Your body will become immune to certain things there in the new city. I wouldn't worry too much.

Adjust To The Weather, And Help Your Body Stay Warm In The Meantime By Drinking Hot Liquids Like Tea Or Coffee For Example. Either Your Not Used To The Air, Or The Temperture. Regardless, Dress Warm(Wear A Hat So All The Heat From Your Body Doesn't Excape), And Something To Cover Over Your Nose And Mouth So You Won't Breathe Cold Air In Directly....

Well not too sure about the red flag but maybe there are some things you can do to help. Try washing hands more often, take vitamine C and drink enough liquids everyday (dry sinuses catch the virus easier), get enough exercise and eat well.Hey maybe a flu shot would be worth it esp. since you seem to have a low immune system right now. If its cold where you live now then wear light weight gloves and keep them on in the grocery store etc because you would not believe what you can pick up in there.

it could be several things. here's a few: if you moved to a different climate you could get sick because say you lived in Florida, and moved to Michigan. if you live in a warmer climate your blood is thinner than a colder climate which means your body is working x-tra hard to boost up your immune system. another thing it could be is you may have the flu one time and a cold another time. there are 2 kinds of flu-the one that make you visit the bathroom and bucket and the type that you think is just a cold. what i would do is start taking vitamin c, wash your hands constantly, and visit the doctor.

hon, don't worry about it. Autumn just started and the pollen is out for grabs. Wear a coat or a sweater, drink tea and rest. Sleep is the number 1 source thta can make feel better. I had a cold 3 times and process worked. Just dress warm and you'll be fine.

Your immune system is probably weak from the move to a new city. Its a big stress, even though it may be a good stress. I haven't had a cold in years and I attribute it to washing my hands often and taking a multi-vitamin 3 times per day.

Make sure you are eating a good healthy diet. You need too make sure your body is getting the vitamins it needs, if your diet isn't providing it start taking a good natural or wholefood multi vitamin.
Taking zinc and echinacea are also very good to boost the immune system and fight off colds. Check out this site, they have alot of info on healthy nutrition and healthy supplements, with a store opening soon online.

Probably just bad luck and different cold viruses you have been exposed to. Keep an eye on things and if you continue to feel ill see a doc.

Yes! Catching a cold is impossible to avoid 100% but it does show you how easy it would be for not just you, but any of us to get infected by a more deadly strain of virus, such as SARS or Avian Flu.
