There are hundreds of legal, social and moral "rules" that a flout outrageously, and there are some the I abide by.

This wasn't a case of picking and choosing which ones I could live with. When I was younger, I designed my own moral compass, and have lived with it, rarely changing anything. It turns out that:

A lot of people agree with most of what I do;
A lot of people disagree with most of what I do;
A lot of people wish they could do what I do and
A lot of people with they could stop me doing what I do.

How does your own set of rules complicate your life?

Well, one of my rules that I try to live by is: "if you're not gonna do it, don't say you are" ...that rule most people agree with, but few others follow through. It's helped me a lot though, becuase it shows people that I'm dependable and responsible. And you're right, most people agree with it, some people disagree with me (becuase I will flat out tell them I'm not doing it) , some WISH they could be as dependable as me, but no, no one really tries to stop me from doing what I do.

Also, my other rule is: I don't lie. Not even to save myself. I'm EXTREMELY blunt and honest, and even if the truth hurts, I still tell the truth. Some people don't like my brutal honesty, and that's ok, it's not gonna stop me from being the way I am, because I believe lying only leads to other problems. Some pepole think I'm an a**hole, yet others have a lot of respect for me becuase I'm not afraid to speak my mind.
